Customer would like options emailed over so he can review them and discuss how they would like to move forward with his wife.

Elgin Heat pump tune up Upon my arrival I spoke with the customer about the concerns with the 2 rooms on the west side of the home always being warmer in the heat of the summer. Performing my diagnostics I found that the ducting going to the room should be sized up some, return air needs to be added, the supply plenum will need to be extended to move certain ducts further from the air handler for better air flow and the fresh air intake should be removed. I spoke with the customer about my findings and presented a solution for repair. He approved the repair, paid the 50% down payment and the office will reach out for scheduling.

Flushed and treated the water removal systems, verified proper fuel delivery, checked for CO, cleaned the flame safety sensors then verified system safety and performance. Found both systems performing to manufacture specifications at this time. On system #2 I did find a growth starting to form on the heat transfer media coil. Spoke with the customer about my concerns and went over the different options. For now she choose to have the system cleaned and plans to add bacterial prevention system at the next evaluation.

Elgin Heater service Upon my arrival customer is concerned that the upstairs portion of the home was getting much hotter than the downstairs portion. Upon my diagnosis I found the filter to be extremely dirty restricting airflow. Filter has never been changed since the construction of the home. informed customer of my findings and also informed customer we removed the filter to prevent any more airflow restriction and customer stated they will be purchasing a filter today to replace. After performance and safety test, we found no further issues with the system. System heating properly at this time.

Elgin Air conditioner repair I performed the heating evaluation on the 2 infinity heat pump systems and found them both to be operating properly at this time. The client was concerned about the systems being dirty from the kitchen remodel. I did not find any concerns of that but I did speak with the client about the Solaris bacteria prevention system to be proactive in preventing bacteria growth or dirty sock syndrome.

Removed the faulted auxiliary heating system, installed new auxiliary heating system, redid wire terminals, checked each wire all wiring is correct then ran a performance and safety testing. Found the auxiliary heating system performing properly at this time.

Upon cooling evaluation make sure lamp is still functioning correctly. Found no issues at this time. No recommendations at this time. Customer renewed comfort 1 plan with technician.

Elgin Furnace repair Upon my arrival, customer was concerned that the indoor fan was running, but no warm air was coming out of registers. Upon my diagnosis, I found the outdoor voltage distribution system to be faulty. Informed customer of my findings and also let customer know about the age and condition of the system. Customer chose the HD3A option. Replaced outdoor voltage distribution system and tested system for performance and safety system heating at this time. Due to the condition and age of the system I recommended the customer have our comfort specialist come out and give estimates on replacement.

Elgin Air conditioner repair Upon my arrival I removed the auxiliary heating system to check the strings and verify if parts are available to restring the section that is not working. While I was doing this I noticed one of the safety limit switches had burned one of the terminals. To keep the customer going now I replaced the safety limit switch from one of the strings on the heat kit that’s not being used at the moment. After tracking down a new auxiliary heating system and verifying it’s available I spoke with the customer about his repair option. A repair was approved and the office will schedule the return once parts are received.

Elgin Mini split repair Upon my arrival I evaluated 2 carrier heat pump systems. I verified system safety and performance is to manufacture specifications for both systems. Flushed and treated the water removal systems. Cleaned the electrical cabinet and washed both units using water. Found no issues at this time. No recommendations at this time. Next eval compare pictures of air movement systems and see if any new bacteria has grown. If so, customer may want a new air movement blade for both systems.

Only two of the 4 heating elements are working due to a faulted relay circuit board. Also found the downstairs voltage distribution system to be charred and pitted as well as the voltage enhancement system to be reading low. Informed customer of my findings and customer wants estimates emailed over to them. Found no other issues and no other recommendations at this time.
